Tragedy struck at Arue-Uromii in Esan North East local government area of Edo State on Friday, 16th January when six children were crushed to death by a Mercedes Benz car bearing a learner driver sign.
It was gathered that the children, four girls and two boys were said to be playing football when the approaching vehicle attempted to dodge a porthole, swerved and killed them all on the spot.
The accident provoked anger as residents of the community blocked the road and burnt the Mercedes Benz.
