Chelsea have sacked their manager Frank Lampard, today after weeks of contemplating due to the club’s lack of form.

The former England midfielder and Chelsea legend spent a total of 18 months at Stamford Bridge as the head coach. He had a creditable first season spell at the club despite having transfer ban.

After a decent start to his second year as Chelsea boss his team which was equipped with millions of euros are battling to rise up from a seemingly sticky 9th position after winning just 1 in 5 matches.

Just 24 hours after Lampard’s team defeated Luton Town in the FA cup in another not too impressive performance, Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich decided to path way with his former player.
